    Farleys Page

I know some of you on here used to frequent Farley's page (dippy.org), but I logged on earlier and noticed that there hasn't been a new post since May. I can't imagine at that rate how much longer it'd stay afloat, so I'd suggest pulling as much info before it gets lost. Sad to say as when I...

    1969 Olds 442

I know, not a Mopar.. Carried this over from here: (New project) Dug the car out today and got it home. Spent a couple hours cleaning inside and out, found a nest and 3 mice skeletons. Got it in the garage, and the next thing is to hook a battery up to check the electric, put it on stands, and...

    New project

Well, after 14 years of Mopars..I have taken on a new project for Brand X. One of my bosses has a 1969 Oldsmobile 442, and I've been pushing him for years to get it out of his barn and put the original engine and transmission back in and sell it. Well, he finally asked me to tear the engine...

    Its been a ride

Well, after almost 11 years, I've finally decided to move on from my AHB. Had it out to go pick up breakfast, and had a bad enough shake that I turned around and took it home. I'm fairly certain I know what it is, but the fact of the matter is this; I just dont have time to devote to it...

    Mystery leak

Full disclaimer to start off with..I have not had the time to throw the car on stands and run it in gear yet A couple of weeks ago I pulled the car out to clean the garage, and when I did so I noticed it took a bit for the car to move. Just chalked that up to the fact it hadn't been in gear...

    Pinion angle?

Ever since performing the iso-delete in the rear, I've had a driveline vibration. I was warned about pinion angle being effected, but im not sure how to check it, or adjust it. Im assuming the shim kits just fit in between the leaf spring and sway bar plate (b body setup)..is that correct...

    No power/start

Alright, I went to start my car yesterday and had no reaction. It literally just sounded as if I didn't have the battery hooked up. Put the charger on it to check/charge the battery and it read fine, but the fuse box started buzzing. Im leaning toward fusible link, but not for certain. What are...

    Oil pan gasket

Alright, what's the trick to changing the oil pan gasket? Just loosened up the headers that I just installed to reach as many bolts as I could..but I cant reach the front 4 bolts. I'm hoping to do so without pulling the engine, or dropping the K frame. Is it doable?

    Header install

Since I cant seem to pinpoint a solid thread on this, why not start one so others can reference it? I picked up a set of headers a few years ago from another FMJ guy, who got those from another M owner, etc. Had to do slight repair, but overall they were in decent shape considering I'm assuming...

    Aftermarket floor shift options

Are there any good options for an aftermarket floor shift? I'd love buckets and console, but I really dont see that in my future. Also, what all is needed for adding floor shift to a column shift car? Thanks in advance

    Dropping the tank

Alright, so next on my list is dropping the fuel tank. I need to do so to install a new sender for my aftermarket fuel gauge. I've got new straps, and a new snap ring, as well as new line (although it's just the one size-I now know there are multiple sizes) First question, what's the best way...

    School me on a transmission

Looking for some help, I've got a cop 904 variant, which to the best of my knowledge is an A999. How do I differentiate that for sure without busting it open and counting clutches. Second, I'll be pulling said transmission soon..is it really as simple as everyone says (remove linkage/lines...

    Oil galley plugs

Looking for oil galley plug information, and this is the best I've found so far. For reference this is for an LA 318 with Magnum heads. Rebuilt approximately 6 years ago, maybe has 2500 miles on it. Issue 1. Under heavy acceleration, I notice smoke coming from the passenger side. I cannot...

    360 Magnum Build Ideas

Alright, I think Im going to bite the bullet and yank the 318. Its running stronger now than ever, but I've got a leaky oil galley plug and REALLY dont want to pull it just to reinstall and yank 2 years later. Im thinking of a stock bottom end rebuild, thin head gaskets, using the heads from...

    Oil galley plugs

Alright, next on my offseason list is to tighten the leaking oil galley plugs. The one I know of, is on the passenger side of the block. So, what's the easiest way to get to it? I'm still deciding on either hooking up a chain hoist in the garage, or borrowing an engine hoise (dad sold the one...

    Front shocks

Looking for info for new front shocks. Long story short, got under the car this morning and while giving everything else a once-over I noticed the drivers side shock isnt even hooked up. Not sure how long it's been like that, but I figure while I'm addressing it I'd might as well put something...

    Speedometer cable length

Alright, so a few years ago I had ordered a cable to replace my speedometer/gears with. Long story short, the cable I ordered is way too long. Is there a standard/shorter size for Mopars? Both ends are screw on type, the cable I have is 80". I can find ones that are anywhere between 63" and 68"...

    Proportioning Valve

Looking for some sort of help with finding an aftermarket adjustable valve. I'm tired of dealing with the 30 year old valves that crap out whenever I have any sort of brake issue. I'm on my 3rd one in 8 years with this car and its not working properly since replacing lines to the rears...

Just picked up a 360 Magnum for my diplomat. I plan on essentially a full rebuild, but with a cam swap and throwing on a carb and headers. Any help/advise is appreciated, and pictures will be coming. *Note* I've dealt with magnum heads before, so I know of the potential for cracks as well as...
