The Cherry Bomb

My 1985 Plymouth Gran Fury nicknamed The Cherry Bomb

General Information

Sold new on June 20, 1985 at Burnside Motors in East Hartford CT for $11405.50 The Chrrry Bomb stayed with the same family until I bought her in November 2011, with only 88,097 miles, now with over 201k miles she still runs great and is just as reliable as ever, I've customized her over the years and she's like a member of the family to meIMG_20190729_163945.jpg IMG_20190729_164132.jpg IMG_20190729_164019.jpg IMG_20190729_164019.jpg IMG_20180910_193354.jpgIMG_20190729_164648.jpgIMG_20190729_164240.jpgzzcomfort.jpgIMG_20190729_164350.jpg IMG_20190729_164500.jpg newfloor.jpgwindow sticker whole.jpgwindow sticker close up.jpg windowstickerprice.jpg invoice.jpginvoiceprice.jpg the broadcast sheet.jpg the broadcast sheet close up.jpg

The cruise control was there when I bought her, it's an old Sears and Roebuck Autocruise and yes it still works, the radio came from a Dodge Caravan, the wheel covers are from a 1972 Chrysler New Yorker, I'm not sure what the turn signal indicators were originally on, I bought them at a car show, the kill switch you see turns the dome light on and off when the doors are open. The pinstripes I did myself, the paint is Firethorn Metallic which was done at a Maaco in Wolcott CT unfortunately it quickly proved to be a typical Maaco paint job...I did manage to win two awards (a third place and a second place) before it got too bad though. Though the years The Cherry Bomb's been everything from a show car to a pickup truck to a tow truck to a road trip car she's even been a home with things got real bad...and always a very dependable daily driver

The Cherry Bomb came with all her dealer paperwork, and when I took the factory bench seats out I found the broadcast sheet under the front bench in the springs, unfortunately it was all destroyed in the Bayview Hotel fire :(
