Well the time has come to sell my 1988 Fifth Avenue with the original 318, 130,000 miles. Rust-free (except for minor surface rust on trunk lid) car which spent most of its life in Las Vegas since new and was well taken care of. Has all the luxury power features that came standard on these cars and they ALL WORK! It's had lots of maintenance and performance work done including conversion to a 4-barrel carburetor and intake (TQ on Eddy Performer), MSD ignition system (Lean-Burn delete), dual exhausts and a rear axle swap to a rebuilt 8 1/4" unit with 3.07:1 gears (removed ISO-clamps in the process); I swapped in a double-roller timing set for durability and a new water pump and gaskets. New belts, hoses, replacement battery and water pump, new thermostat, original radiator was mildly acid-cleaned along with a non-pressurized coolant flush of the engine, transmission pan gasket and filter with new fluid (old fluid looked fine). Tires are brand-new Kumho Solus TA11 in 235/70-15 all around on OEM Ford alloy wheels. Currently will not pass emissions due to lack of cats but I'm including a pair of new Walker universal catalytic converters with the car; if e-test is not needed I'll keep them and take $100 off asking price.
I bought this car to make a fun cruiser project with some pep and I put a lot of my own time into it, I have threads on this forum of most of the stuff I've done. All maintenance and performance mods were done by myself and I've put about 1200 miles on the car since they've been completed with no issues, I even spent time tuning the ThermoQuad carb to make sure it runs smoothly and gets decent gas mileage (avg 16-20 currently). This would be a great car either to enjoy as-is or continue upgrading. Looking for $2000 OBO, located in Fort Collins, Colorado.
