My budy Alan put this together in Aston PA and a Brew house. Tonight had over 150 cars.

I still see a Rampage around here once in a while. Looks nowhere near as good as the one in the pic though. It's got some, shall we say,,,,,,,,,,,,Wisconsin patina.

Don`t see many Rampages around anymore.
Didn’t see many Rampages around, 20 years ago.

The only factory engine available for those was the 2.2L non-turbo.

I wanted to find a nice one and install a 2.2L turbo stage 3 or 4 in one, for my parts runner – but never did find one worth the trouble.

I thought some rare ones were factory turbos with the little hood wedge scoop. This one above has what looks like a factory equipped engine. I always wanted one and when I saw that burnt orange rear wheel drive convert

All US Rampages came with 2.2L carbureted engines (auto or manual). I have no idea about Canadian versions.

The front half of 2 door L-bodies were the same as Rampages, so pretty much any front half part could be transferred from any 2 door L-body – including the Shelby body parts and Shelby powertrain components.

I would think it will take a bit of fabrication to install a 331 Hemi and rear wheel drive.

Side note: I could change a L-body (K, E, etc. bodies) engine from a carb'ed 2.2L to a turbo 2.2L engine and be driving the car, faster than the time I can remove a 318 car engine (twenty+ years ago) – as long as I had a parts donor car close by.

I hated working on those Holley 2 bbls those 2.2L’s had. I said “Praise the Lord” loudly, when Chrysler went fuel injection in ’88 (the only thing that didn’t go fuel injection on everything was the 318 car engine, that year).

The Rampage, right above this post, looks sweet, but impractical for as a parts chaser.
