Hello, had already introduced me at the beginning of the year.
Once I got the station apart and build it back together.
So far, I'm still looking for a few small things in vain.
For example, door seals for the station.
Is there any to buy these at all?

The tank I have now in the middle, exhaust system, I have now ordered from TTI.
For a 72 A-body, guess I'll have to work something on the rear axle / fuel tank.

Since I have removed the air conditioning system, there were also a few problems with the belt drive. Power pump was too high, I have mounted a little lower.
But now everything is great.

So it is not much, think in August or September I can go with it a few miles.

well then here are some pictures

Unfortunately noted that the heater is leaking, so first bridged

and what is not so great, I had to get bumper and grill on a junkyard from the Aspen.
Grill was almost gone, and bumper was no longer the best.
Now I Have a "hole" between the hood and grille

Wow!, you are doing a very nice job on what looks like a very nice wagon. I like the red. Nice job on the interior trim. Did you use dye or some type of paint?

What did you use to insulate the floor? The carpet looks new, is it from ACC? How about a pic of your headliner - which type is it?

Thank you for the link, but a little Plymouth has to stay :)
I'll probably have to build something from metal

@ old yellow 78
yes the carpet is new, from ACC, it fits great.
The paint is available for plastics, metal etc.
Have it ever tested and tries to make a scratch, so you have to press properly strong to scratch.
is called , Brantho Korrux 3in1
The headliner was probably made of a type of presswood ???, But it was already ripped out in Hollywood :)
I then glued imitation leather. This has thrown wrinkles but after a few days they were already smooth again.
Think through the glue he has curled something

As insulation, I took normal alubutyl.
The carpet is already very thick and very well insulated.

Now comes the most expensive of the whole car.
The benches have to be new in front and in the back.
So here in Germany that costs a lot

Your car is looking great!

What are you using for an air cleaner?
If you are not going to re-use the current air cleaner – I wonder how much it will cost to ship back overseas (ie: it is one I’m looking for)?

If your heater core is leaking – I highly recommend getting your existing core FIXED, and not replaced. The replacement heater cores (if you can find one) do not fit well. Most towns should have a shop that fixes radiators, and if so, they can also fix a leaking heater core. Once fixed, it will fit without any troubles.

Trying to get one of the cheap, made in Asia, aftermarket heater cores (if you can find one) will only make a person scream several curse words and tools will be tossed around in the garage after you have broken parts, like your evaporator case.

I need to see a couple of pictures (both sides) of your current pulley and belt setup – of you still need help there.

You said
The tank I have now in the middle, exhaust system, I have now ordered from TTI.
For a 72 A-body, guess I'll have to work something on the rear axle / fuel tank.
Can you rephrase that – for I’m not sure what you are asking, exactly (fuel tank and/or exhaust . . . not sure what, exactly).

There is not anyone (that I know of) making door weatherstripping for 4-door or station wagons.
I have been told you can purchase new weatherstripping in bulk and “make-your-own” – but you will need to cut a piece open to get a cross section of existing to get its measurements. Then take the time to make a new piece for each door. Note: the front door weatherstripping is the same on wagons and 4-doors, but the rear doors are different (at rear upper door corner area) between 4-door and wagons.

I looked it up on Google. Looks like great paint, but probably difficult to find at the local paint store in Pennsylvania:D

Wow! No way to salvage that front seat! I had a hard enough time finding a good set of 60/40 seats here in USA, I can't imagine how difficult it would be in Germany! I wish you luck in finding a nice set somewhere. You've done a great job on your Volare so far! ;)

@BudW
Thanks for the tip with the heater.
Actually, I do not need them, when it is so cold there is salt everywhere on the street :)
Unfortunately, I need the air filter.
Open air filters (Edelbrock etc) are not allowed here.
And then you have to register them in the Papers. :-(

ok that would also explain why the gaskets from the front doors are almost new, and the rear ones almost no longer exist.
I'll try and get something new.

That's what it looks like with the belt drive.
Pump holder, Crankshaft pulley, Water pump pulley is made of a 71er Dart.
20180610_141910.jpg

With the exhaust there are no problems, all good.
Had read something here, I have to tinker.
Entrepreneur completely build yourself or buy one and cut something behind the fuel tank and weld. I'll get that already :)

The benches are made completely new by the saddler.
At the front, the springs have to be new, many are broken. Then upholster and cover with synthetic leather. The back was still quite good, let it also make new.
Unfortunately not as cheap as Sue

My wife annoys me the last few months, Why I need so long and the gasmonkey only a few days :)

Is it fully open, or are you just needing the "dodge" trim. There is a metal bracket that holds the motioned trim. That bolts in. Not a hard part to get if you need it.

These pictures were just taken, from my 1977 Volare wagon, 318 2-bbl – which came from factory without A/C, with 45k miles (73k KM).

The only changes from stock is new belts and hoses, a replacement alternator (Note: the alternator pulley should be a single pulley – which is what came from factory. The A/C double pulley works fine – but has one unused pulley – other than it looks out of place. I had original alternator lockup on me recently and hadn’t gotten around to installing the correct (black in color) single pulley back on it.
Also, I replaced the solid 4-blade fan with a 5-blade fan with fan clutch.

It appears the water pump had been replaced at some point for it has the newer design Heavy Duty pump on it.
It also appears the installer had used an excessive amount of orange RTV on it, for some reason (due to the RTV squeeze out). Note: excessive RTV (silicon sealant) is bad for a cooling system, for what you see on outside of engine is not a problem. What is inside of cooling system will break off and stop up ports and passageways – which is not good and hard to clean out (and/or find).

FMJ small block pulleys
Cars with A/C:
Crankshaft pulley: There will be either three or four drive belt groves (depending if car has an A.I.R. pump installed, or not).
The pair of rear-most crankshaft pulleys is for A/C compressor and alternator. The third pulley from rear (or front-most crank pulley if car didn’t have an A.I.R. pump).
Water pump pulley: will be a single grove pulley if car does not have A.I.R. or double grove if it has A.I.R.

Cars without A/C and with P/S (and without A.I.R. pump – sense your car doesn’t have one)
The original crank pulley can be reused – but you will only need to use two groves. Innermost grove will be unused. The Second grove from rear will go to water pump and to alternator. The Third grove from rear will go to P/S (if using factory parts.
There is another option (mentioned below) if you don’t have access to correct pulleys.
The alternator pulley – only the outer (front-most) grove will be used.
The P/S pump – they have a few different versions they used. In some cases, the P/S pulley is the same between A/C and non-A/C cars (but brackets are different). In other cases, the brackets are the same, but P/S pulley is different between A/C and non-A/C cars.

There are five different FMJ small block crankshaft pulleys out there:
With A/C and with A.I.R.
With A/C and without A.I.R. (all A/C cars come with P/S)
without A/C with P/S without A.I.R.
Without A/C without P/S with A.I.R.
Without A/C, without P/S and without A.I.R.

There are four different water pump pulleys out there:
With A/C and with A.I.R.
With A/C and without A.I.R. (all A/C cars came with P/S)
without A/C with P/S without A.I.R.
Without A/C without P/S with A.I.R.

Using a straight edge on your picture (on my computer screen) – it looks like you have the correct alignment for both drive belts. That said, it looks like/appears the P/S pulley is at an angle (but straight edge shows it to be where it should).

Optional:
There is a little-known workaround to use most of your existing pulleys and brackets when removing A/C. You will keep the P/S and water pump pulleys and belt the same (so that part is unchanged.
The Alternator belt is then routed directly from crank pulley to alternator – but in some cases the water pump might need a rib ground down some for clearance

What was the pulley problem do you have again?

Unfortunately, I need the air filter.
Open air filters (Edelbrock etc) are not allowed here.
You have a couple of options on your existing air cleaner.
A – keep the current computer attached to air cleaner and leave it unplugged.
B – Remove the computer from air cleaner and attach a piece of metal plate in its place to fill in the hole.
C – find a 4-bbl air cleaner and replace your existing cleaner assembly. If you are not going to use outside air (the large paper hose that attaches to fender by battery) then you can use the older style (under hood air) snorkel design, like this one:
72_400_01.jpg

If you will be driving car much, the outside air design will give you better fuel mileage.
If car will be in car shows – I personally think the dual snorkel design (and even the orange) stands out more.

This design has a trap door underneath. It does allow more air flow and it is also a bit nosier than the other designs (from air rushing into the carburetor) – but outside appearance – it looks normal.
72_340_01.jpg

The area circled is the area that attaches to fender via a paper hose.

A question for Bud W and others in the know.

What are the visual cues that a heavy duty water pump is installed. The photos of the new pumps all look the same.

You're car looks amazing. The quality of work you've put into it really shows and it building one of these cars over there can't be easy - takes a lot of dedication.
