So it has decent tires and brakes. new brake lines. All the gauges work. Vin is NL29D9B302243 so it is a Slant 6 2BBL car. 7 1/4 rear column shift auto. High back buckets with the later seat belt loop. So is it a parts car? It has a good title. Would I drive it home? Not for 1500. Would I negotiate down to 750 and then drive it home? HELL YEAH. But then What? Any thoughts here people?

Would you actually want to drive it home like that?

My suggestions are $750 or less and call Jim and get the welder out.
Or part it.

It is exactly 2 miles from my house and that is what I call a "Blessed Hell Ride" if anything. Gator was thinking 750 too. The guy won't take 500

Option 1: pass

Option 2: buy for around 750. Employ my 14 year old teenager to learn and work the trouble areas. She (that's right I said she) might not get it now, but life is about taking some shitty variables and making them better. Plus some good bonding there.

If you've both got the time and you have the money I'd go with option #2. If not......option #1. As I'm sure you know Jim has all the metal you need including frame rails.

If I do take the dive into this, it would be a task with limits- both time and money. Faced with the fact this car would not be a flip/ sale or return on investment, it makes no logical sense to get this thing. Now, if the goal is just to get this on the road and get it to be safe, it can be done. It won't win awards, that is for sure.

Option #1 Don't get it,To far gone.

Damn Brother, Fashionably late to the party as usual, but always a welcome sight. Yep, gonna pass on this. Plus, I still haven't shed my wagon yet and don't have the room to grab this coupe

Personally I would've passed too.
A couple of years ago I went to look at a 78 Volare Premier. The car looked pretty good. Interior was beautiful and it had a 360. Crawled underneath and it looked like that one. I was actually looking at it for someone else. I highly recommend they pass.

If I had room I would buy it just for parts but not for what he asking. That is some serious rust there makes me sick to see it. I would pass also on it for a project.
