The skies are threatening and we're getting lots of rain.
So....it's time...
I secured a nice warm dry cozy spot for the Volare
Just a couple of spots over from where my Caravelle stays in "classic car alley"
Although I'm very happy to get my babies out of the elements
It still makes me a little blue to put them away till spring.

All for the best though.....

In her new spot

And all tucked in.... :sad10:

I'm hoping for one last blast to Va. Beach (by way of N. Carolina) before the evil white stuff flies. If weather doesn't permit, I'll be taking the Mercury. Not bad, but no comparison. After that she'll settle down for a long winters nap.

I'm hoping to get the Volare AND the Caravelle out for one more good highway run....weather has been crap here....lots of rain.
Figured I'd get the Volare out of that crap.
The Caravelle never gets wet.
If the evil white stuff flies I'm covered...if it holds off I'll give them both a good run before they go for their nap.
Although I really didn't want to put the Fifth through another winter...it is the daily so..... Next winter I'll pick up a beater so the Fifth doesn't have to eat salt anymore.
On the upside.....at least I'll be driving a Mopar for the winter.
Time to drown it in oil again.....

Cool, & in the spring you can have new shelf paper from the genuine imitation wood grain vinyl!

If you decide to keep it, peel the plastic, break out the acetylene torch & clear coat! Old school wood grain.

Only time I've ever made Beercicles required cleanup in the freezer! If I was lucky, it was a can, but I hate canned beer! There always seems to be one that slides behind the frozen mixed vegetables or pizza rolls that greets you the next day when you open the freezer. I know, no else, just you Larry.
