I am sure someone here has run into this....

Puddle on the passenger footwell floor (carpet is out).

We found the leak to be coming from the seam sealer that bonds to the floor pan and the side frame work....

My first though was to tear out all the seam sealer....you press on it and water comes out so its shot anyways.....as far up as we can.......then silicone the heck out of it.....

But is that really a good way to go? If we took the fender off we could get to that seam...I think........but thats a ton of work right now (still working on getting the super six rebuild runninG!)

Thoughts?

You can see the leak in this picture......the two dark wet strands of water......we THINK its dry above that but cant be certain because of the dang heater box being in the way....LOL

You can also see a puddle of water filling the area on the side where the kick panel would be......

Silicone won't work well at all. It's best to remove all the old seam sealer and replace it with new seam sealer after cleaning any rust, dirt, etc. as well as possible.
Carquest and Napa carry it, or can get it for you, as well as from Eastwood.
