Flip Top Gas cap installation

Here is the first step. I made a light weight cardboard jig.

I first taped the template to the adapter so that it would stay in place. I then clamped it to a piece of scrap wood so that it would stay in place when I drilled it. A drill press would work a lot better.

Test fit with stainless steel screws. I put a piece of tape to remind me this is the top.

With it still mounted on the car I marked the holes for the gas cap and then drilled them in place.

I took it back off and recessed the screw holes a little more. I sanded it with 600 grit and will shoot it with PPG single stage tomorrow. Too much black showing.

Yea I would like to know the mystery bezels well and how it installs, got a repopulate off ebay for $18 shipped and the cap doesn't seem to sit quite right with it
