Rottweiler, and pit bulls, that is all you see at shelters these days, and that is unfortunate. You used to be able to go to a shelter and get a nice normal dog like a collie, or a golden retriever, but now all you see are these, unfortunate, "junk" dogs that only crack heads want; and they want them for all of the wrong reasons.

Dogs, unfortunately, don't get to stay near that long in our county humane society shelter. There's only so much room so.................well, you know. Last I heard they have space for around 200 dogs and 50 cats so when new ones come in the ones that have been there the longest have to go and you know what that means.

I feel more for animals than a lot of humans. Just thought I'd throw it out there. A friend called my attention to the story so I thought why not?

Seems like a sweet dog and I'm a sucker for a happy ending to pets who need a home.
