Mine is a 1981 Plymouth Gran Fury with a 318 and cold A/C...it's in storage right now...it will come out of storage in 3 months for new A/C lines and compressor...new master cylinder and brake booster...new carpet....headers from my Aspen and a dual exhaust kit from Summit Racing...it's going to get a little engine bling with a no lean burn air cleaner and some chrome valve covers...my 16 year old daughter is going to start driving it for her first car....it made it through the first daughter....It is my wife's grandmother's car from El Paso Texas...we kinda inherited it and it is what got me going on cars again..I will never sell it...Grandma crashed it and they put a Dodge front clip on it and the rear is still a Plymouth

I started some work on the old girl last night I removed the hood insulation that had years of El Paso Texas dust in it..it was also covered with oil and at one time was home to some kind of animal...I found some of it pulled out and some leaves in the hole...I got all of the A/C lines out also...took rememberance photos also....

Got everything with that A/C buttoned up tonight and got the A/C charged

Tonight I ran the vacuum pump on the system for an hour and then maintained a good vacuum on the guages for 15 minutes...I went ahead and charged the system up and with no leaks it is blowing cold are again...so much good that the suction line sweats all the way back to the compressor and the compressor cycled off once on low suction temp.....:cya:...put some chrome bling on it last night...with the A/C complete I have the brakes next...

Got two little pieces of belting from work and made me some insulators for the lines running across the radiator support....

Work on the brakes tonight...

Took out the old master cylinder and the old brake booster...that brake booster always gets me cussing....:notworthy:....I found a little easier way this time...the new one was back in....took about 10 minutes to put it in and over an hour to take it out...got the new master cylinder hooked up and ready to bench bleed..I would say it was leaking back there

This car is not ready for a makeover...new 16 year old driver is getting a safe car with A/C and a stereo to drive...its a Dodge up front and Plymouth Fury out back...and it may someday turn into a Diplafury...I was thinking a low compression stroker 318 with a underhood turbo charger when I get a hold of it...just enough to smoke one tire for a mile...:eusa_angel:

A newbe driver eh. Have you started to stock pile body panels yet? Just kidding.

It will be a good safe car for her though and enough room for all her friends.

I knew you were into B.B.Qing, but I didn't know you wanted to be a one tire fryer! LOL!

Glad to see you changed out the booster ! with that much brake fluid on it , I'd be a little afraid that some may've gotten inside . With that could've been sucked in the motor . Bad deal there .

Went Junk yarding today

got up early....9:00 is early for me and hit the first Pick-a-part on this side of town....no old cars...then I hit their other location 45 minutes away on the other side of town..and got lucky....I found a Cordoba and 88 Fifth Avenue....

I scored a fresh air intake...a fan shroud...a five blade fan and seven blade fan...also one door lock cylinder...I got the fresh air intake installed tonight and took a pic of the damaged door lock cylinder...can you believe someone tried to break into this car when my first daughter was driving it....

I am not a bank

This 5th Avenue was 100% intact before I started taking some parts off it...it has only 15,000 miles on it...it has cruise control...A/C...electronic trunk release...all the parts in the engine compartment look real good it has no front sway bar but the k-member and disc brakes are complete...8.25 rear end is all there...I am going to get the radiator which had clean antifreeze ad water in it...it is a one row with 1" tubes...I am getting the front bumper and at least the three pieces of bumper filler and maybe the entire front clip..I have no where to store any more parts...if you want something small that can ship let me know I will shoot you a price and pull it for you...I will not bank roll your parts though....
