I'd try jumping the ballast resister first.Help i am not getting power to my ignition coil and cant find where the wires go or a diagram if someone could help that would be awesome, car is a 1980 dodge mirada thanks in advance!
Yes, back in the 80s I would just wrap a piece of bare copper wire around the terminals, if it started, I'd put a new resistor on(kept one in the glove box)That should be on the fire wall correct
It turns over just no power/ sparkDoes it seem like it wants to start, but wont keep running if you let the key off? Is it turning over?
Omg your a life saver lol thank youHere are the FSM scans I made for the non-LeanBurn ignition setup. These should walk you through the troubleshooting if you have that older style ECU setup.

Thanks...but...I'm scratching my head a bit...the pics I uploaded were actually much bigger (so easier to read, more detail)...I see the stuff in the thread as having been sized down...not quite sure if there is a way to get at the originals as I'm not all that familiar with this particular forum software.Omg your a life saver lol thank you
