I was a huge AMC fan, owning Eagles, Gremlins, Matadors, Javelins and Ambassadors (my first car), after 1987 I became a larger Chrysler devote' I now run an execute car service with mostly Chrysler 300s, Chrysler 300 Limousine, 1972 Imperial Lebaron for weddings and the Masters, and my personal favorite a 1979 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue with a 360 V8. Unfortunately I had to remove the lean burn spark control and modify the motor to have fuel injection for dependability.

Welcome! I have a soft spot for R bodies and AMCs.

Drove 79-81 Newports and NewYorkers as daily drivers through the 80's early 90's.

Almost never see them now.

R body survivors are few and far between. And AMC's? You gotta pull for the underdog, man! My first love in a car was a neighbor's 71 Matador. 2 dr, 360, manual floor shift. Blue with a white vinyl top. Man I wanted that car! While I despise Renaults, I drove an 88 Eagle Premier ES for 5 years, and absolutely ADORED that car! It did EVERYTHING well! Talk about scarce these days? I'd but another one in a heartbeat!
