HI, I AM A CERTIFIED MOPAR NUT AND LIKE TO RESTORE CARS WHEN I HAVE THE MONEY TO DO SO. MY QUESTION IS I HAVE A 81 IMPERIAL AND WOULD LIKE TO USE THE BUCKET SEATS FROM A DODGE MIRADA OR CHRYSLER CORDOBA IF POSSIBLE AND I NEED TO FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN SELL ME THE SEATS FOR THE FRONT AND BACK AND IF THEY WANT WORK WHAT CAN I DO TO CHANGE FROM THE BENCH SEAT TO A BUCKET SEAT INTERIOR AND WILL THE KICK PANELS INTERCHANGE TOO? THANKS, HEMI OWNER

Welcome!

I believe there are some J-body bucket seats for sale, in our For Sale section.

FMJ body seats do interchange – to a certain extent – but you will need 2-door seats if anyone is to get into the back seats (they fold forward - only on 2-door versions).

The bolt pattern on floorboard is different between bench and bucket seats. Also, the floorpan is reinforced on the inner bolt holes for bucket seats.
A little digging around in our forums should find plenty of posts talking more about the subject.

I’m not a J-body expert – it appears the kick panels are J-body only. It also appears there are a couple different versions, as well (with litter container(s) or with umbrella holder or without either). I didn’t know that either was an option, until now.
F and M-body kick panels have different part numbers – most likely because of how the J-body dash is made differently.

You have me wondering about your Imperial – as to what it has under the hood . . .
