It's been quite a few years since I had my Volare road runner, but is there room under them for mini tubs the way we can do it for our A-bodies. I can't remember how the rear frame rails run under these cars.

I'm curious whether it can be done on a Cordoba/Mirada too???

Tomorrow in the daylight I will take some pics and post them...my car is not tubbed and will never be...but you can tell by the pics whether or not you will be able to do it... :happy1:

PS I have those big 275/60/15's in the back...

The wheel tubes in stock form are plenty big we have 29x10.5 Slicks and no issues

Not big enough for me. My Demon was mini tubbed and rides on 28x13.5 ET Street tires with room to spare. I'd like to get the same kind of tire under an F or J body. This picture is from a previous owner who ran dirt track tires on it for a summer, but you get the idea.

I don't think it would be worth it

I took a good look under my car...clearance with a 15X8" wheel with 4.5" backspacing sporting a BFG 275/60/15...pretty close to the leaf spring..then at the rear the leaf spring is pretty close to the humpty dumpty gas tank...then at the top of the wheel well there is only about an inch and a half between it and the frame rail...
