Previous owner replaced factory radio with a POS Dual and clipped the factory harness. I purchased a Metra harness for connecting wires to the factory radio. Problem is the car radio diagrams I find on all of the car audio databases don't match the colors I have in the dash.

I see:
red
red/blue
yellow
black&white
black&yellow

Car audio databases say I should have:
Red - Constant 12v
Red/White - Switched 12v
Orange - Dimmer
Yellow - Antenna trigger

Does anybody have the real diagram so I can make sure I connect this properly?
There is another bundle as well that he had all taped together for the speakers. For now just trying to get the power wires correct.

I can take a picture and upload it for you in just a bit.
The diagram I have in the manual has the following colors:

DG/RD
LG
YL
BR/OR
GY
RD
GN
WT
BK

Thats from the ground through the relay, from the relay to the amplifier/cigar lighter/dash panel/right wheel well.

Gotta resize the photo and I'll upload it.

Thanks. Can you snap the page on the speakers too just for good measure?

I'm not seeing any colors there that match what is in my dash opening... other than RD and YL which I assume are red and yellow. Might have to go trial and error but put them on the volt meter first and see which are power.

I'm out of town until Wednesday afternoon. Will see if there is another page of info for you when I return.
There is also a troubleshooting chart ... I can post that if you think it would be helpful.

This info is out of my 87 5th Avenue service manual.

I have noticed the wire colors change over the years.
Knowing what year car you are working with, helps.

These are from my ’86 FSM (Factory Service Manual).

The first couple of pictures were taken with my phone.
The rest were scanned using my works copier machine.

Here's what my '85 Gran Fury has (I'm assuming your '85 Fifth Avenue would have the wire colors) and yes the wires have different colors then what the factory service manual says:
Grey plug:
Battery: red
Acc: red/blue
Illumination: orange
Park: black/yellow
Right Front -: lime green
Left Front -: black/grey
Mute: no wire

Black plug:
Antenna: orange/red
Left Rear +: brown/yellow
Right Rear +: grey/white
Left Front +: yellow
Right Front +: pink
Left Rear -: brown/blue
Right Rear -: grey/orange
