A neighbor is renovating an old house, and he built a nice frame garage to go with it. It is sort of post and beam, but not really. It has a nice second floor for storage or office space if he puts in heat.

Looks nice – BUT is too small,

How do you get to the 2nd Floor?

Edit: I see the stairs on back side (outside) - just as thread was reloading.

I'd use the space for a lift, we have 8' walls max ordinance on garages.

He is flipping the house, so garage isn't really designed to do more than store two cars. He did offset the garage doors to the right to allow more room for workbench/storage on the left. Overall, he did a pretty nice job. One thing I would NOT have done was sink the 4x4 posts in the concrete. That will likely become a problem in years to come.

Did a nice job on the front porch! The place had been run down, and then empty for a few years. I went through it and he did a great job after gutting the entire structure.
