Hi guys.
My son just picked up a 2dr Aspen. Was going to use it for parts but may keep it whole. He has a 77 Volare and I wondered if the body parts interchange. They look the same. Slant 6 auto but I think the motor seized. It had a bad valve and was parked 10 years ago.

The front fenders, hood etc are different but every thing else is the same with only minor differences for trim.

Thanks for the reply.
Thats what we thought. Its mainly the doors that he needs. This one looks good enough that we may just rebuild the motor etc. Interior needs some help though. Kinda dry and faded.
Its the super six motor.

I always thought it was a shame Chrysler didn't continue with the Volare in the 80s, I liked the one year only restyle.

Its the super six motor.
Just an FYI: I don't think F's were offered with the Super Six in 1980, just the single barrel carb - unless they might have been offered in California. The Super Six was not available in '76 at all, but was offered as an option in '77 through '79 in coupes and four doors, and standard in the wagons of those years, but as far as I know, not offered at all in '80 again. If your coupe has a Super Six, it might have been converted by some prior owner, or might have had an engine transplant. Regardless, it looks like a nice find, and if it's as good as the pic looks, it would be nice to save it. ;)

Guess we have to check the engine date code. It sat outside on a concrete pad so hopefully its solid underneath.
If it is he may just keep it as it is but we think its seized and Im sure the trans would need rebuilding from sitting so long.
Overall it seems good for 5 bills.

Supersix was available in Canada in 1980.

Well guys it looks like part of the frame is bad. Below the drivers foot area is rotten from mud etc collecting there. Im guessing that replacements are not available so looks like it might be a parts car unless someone has suggestions.

Looks like the rail. I just had a quick look but didnt check the floor. Floors Im not worried about as thats repairable. Are rail portions available?

Love that front end style. I’d fix the frame rail by patching it, add cop rims and a 360. That car doesn’t look bad. Good score.

Hi Dale.
Havnt looked any closer at it so not sure how the rest is.
He likes his 77 so may swap some parts. If I could find a couple coupe doors then this one may stay complete.
