Can anyone recommend what aprts to get/how to repair the rear electric defroster connector pads?

The ones on our 80 volare were broke when we got the car.

We have the connectors themselves but not sure if they can be reattached with success?

The kiddo was having a foggy issue yesterday morning so this topic came up.

I think I have seen repair kits on ebay etc but not sure what works or doesnt.

I've tried various repair kits without much good success (at work). We ended up having a glass company do the repairs instead. I don't think costs all that much.

However,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,got curious and checked. There are new products on the market since I last attempted a repair. This one looks promising:

Frost Fighter 2000 Defroster Tab Bonding Kits

Most auto glass companies can repair those tabs fairly reasonably (cheaper than you can get tools to do it yourself), and stand behind their work if it comes off again.

Not sure what the tricks are – but there are some tricks they use to make a lasting repair.

Personally, I’ve broken more auto glass than I’ve fixed.
