I had some touch up first with the candy, but that is 9 quarts of Duplicolor clear.

It has some heavy spots and some uneven texture, but nothing some 2000 grit in like 4 weeks won't cure

thanks guys. Yeah, I wanna back it out, but tomorrow has a rain in the forecast. I need a navigator. Last time I backed out from paint, I hit my fridge and knocked all types of crap on the car. The F body front end is longer than it seems. I may hold off wet sanding so the clear gets good and dry. I have heard the horror stories of duplicolor clear never getting dry even with heat. It was 65° F at 2PM. It is hitting almost 70 tomorrow. I had my water separator and it was not too bad so I think I should be ok. When I shot the candy 3 weeks ago, the water separator was filling up much quicker. Next up is Cats and full exhaust to get it street legal... Almost an oxymoron, but I know for certain without the cats it is puff'n clean

Thanks again. About that color; The car was titled orange, but there was black on the under panels. Etching primer was black. Sealer was black. Base coat was copper. This where it gets crazy. Duplicolor candy orange calls for a white or silver base. That was too light and could go pink. The copper over black had the dark hue I wanted. I was going for the GoMango Orange on the 2006 charger or Daytona truck, but I wanted more. This should have the brown hue to get that burnt orange. I did get asked about the bumpers, mirrors, and door handles. The pitting was really bad and I have nice NOS replacements for the handles and new mirrors. I have a decent set of chrome bumpers (non rubber stripe). In the meanwhile I think it should be alright as in the late 70s chrome was giving way to painted bumpers and body colored bumper covers on cars.
