How's it going guys, well it is tax return season, and between finally being able to buy a house, and putting money aside for the future work shop, I finally have enough to get the wheels and tires i have wanted for a looooong time. So I was wondering if anyone has run either basset or Aero Race "D window" wheels on their ride, and if there are any pro's or con's to either of them, now the BIG question, can 15X10's fit under a slightly lowered Volare ? I am already running a 8 1/4 with a jeep disc swap in the rear and the stock 10.75" up front with Mustang GT 17X9 with 1.5" billet wheel spacers. Here's a pic

So what kind of back spacing am i looking at to clear full lock to lock on the front ? How big of brake set up can I go before I have to clearance caliper edges ? I managed to score a cherry set of BBP hubs off a later duster with drum fronts, duh lol, and plan on swapping to cobra rotors since the '02 mercedes cl500 13" rotors are 22.27lbs each and the stang cobra rotors are the same 13" but 19.62lbs, thats a bunch to shave off rotating mass, oh and the stang rotors are $35 each vs the mercedes at $53 each, all prices and weights are from auto zones website, why should you care ? Because part number's D3280/D3281 are brembo (atleast from factory) 4 piston calipers with aluminium outer hats and iron center blocks, and only 10lbs each at $110 reman plus core

You won't fit 15"x 10" up front unless they stick out 2". To go that wide up front, you'll need 18's to go over the upper control arm/ ball joint area. You might squeeze 15 x 10 in the rear with the right backspace/ spacer combo. Remember not to lower the front too much with the torsion bar adjustment, or you'll mess the geometry up. You can get drop spindles from firm feel, but they're a lit pricey. I love the nascar looking wheels though. Thought about them for my car many times.
