A cool find the other day at a thrift store. A whopping 80 cents after tax!

And not to hijack your thread....
But yesterday I scored six cop rims for $140
Four are really nice and two are not bad.
Sold my buddy the two not bad one's for $40

4 nice cop rims for $100.... Gotta like that.

Good deal on the police rims. In the late 90's a friend of mine had six sets of them and gave (yes, gave) me a set for the 72 Satellite Custom I had at the time. People pay big money for original ones nowadays.... When they can buy a new, cheaper set from Wheel Vintiques for under 400 from Summit Racing.

That's why I hopped on those.
Believe it or not..the guy said no one was calling.
He had the four listed for $150
I told him I'd take them but I was tight for money and I'd have to wait.
Then he said "how bout $100?"
I found the money......
The other two I gave my buddy for $40 were just a bonus.

My wife had found these at a thrift shop and picked them up, they were a couple bucks for the set.

Very nice. Find a Holley 390 CFM carb and you'll be set. Then there are Durtra Dual manifolds, a more aggressive cam (you have a solid lifter cam, easier to find)....

Oh yeah...that's pretty much the plan.
Not sure which way I'm going exhaust wise yet.
Might just get my buddy who does exhaust work to run a big single
I don't have a cat anyway...as long as I get her breathing right.....
And a more aggressive cam is definitely in the cards.

Can't remember exactly who told me this but apparently I can use a 383 air cleaner housing and my Super Six pie plate will sit right on it.
Total incognito. :glasses9:
