If you are doing front end work

I just bought these, a good deal for what appears to be a smaller 1-59/64" and larger 2-9/64" upper ball joints.

Powerbuilt® Specialty Ball Joint Socket Kit - 648749-Newegg.com

Then there are these offered by Summit.

For smaller passenger car applications.

Sunex Tools Ball Joint Sockets 10213

For truck and Van applications.

Sunex 10214 3/4" Dr. 2-9/64" Ball Joint Impact Socket

Then there's this from Freedom Racing.

Upper Ball Joint Socket Wrench C-3560 8033

What appears to be the smaller 1-59/64" of the ball joint sockets. Is this AMC version the exact same thing?

Wait, so which one do we need for our cars? Was there a big variation in sizes?

The smaller one 1-59/64" is for our cars. Its cool, because on newegg they sell the Probuilt kit that includes the larger 2-9/64", which is for trucks and vans. That kit is about the same or less of some single ball joint sockets I shopped for out there. So I got that one, in case I might work on a Dodge truck or van. Its a good possibility.

The bigger one is C-body upper ball joints and for 2*4 pickups/vans.

Everything else Chrysler made, uses the smaller upper ball joint (socket).
