I just bought a 47 Dodge and will most likely remove the 47 front end and go with something more modern. Someone told me a friend used a F/M/J complete front suspension/K Frame on his a late 40's Chrysler and it was nearly a bolt-in. Soooo, I'm wondering what the width is of the K so I can compare it to the frame of the 47. I like the idea of the one complete unit with suspension and K . Or, if anyone has done such a swap, I'd love to hear about it.

The center to center K Frame mounting bolts are; 35 3/8" front and 32 3/8 rear.
The distance between the upper control arm K Frame uprights is 36"

Ive had folks getting complete K assembly front ends from me for those swaps for years.
Some were used on old dodge and ford pu conversions, some used on old car conversions.
Not exactly "bolt on" but not difficult fab job from the feedback ive gotten.

As much as I hate to mention another brand, but the Crown Vic member work well.
A 89 M, cop car preferred, is the Mopar way to go.
