Hey guys, I need to know if an A-body 833 will be a direct bolt-in a F-body? I just purchased a 76 RR and it was an original 4-speed car (now has auto) and I want to go back to the 4-speed set-up. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, I did that exact swap in the 80's with my '77 Aspen R/T 318 4-spd. The trans came out of a '68 small block Barracuda.

Thanks SirRalliart, did the shifter come up through the tunnel in the correct place?

Yep, A-body and F-body exactly the same.

A word of caution though. The F-body bellhousing front bearing retainer opening is larger than the A-body one IF the bellhousing you have is from the overdrive version. Just use the bell that comes with the tranny and you'll be OK.
