Hello, I’m looking for a Walker 40430 Canadian Y-Pipe for my 1982 Imperial. The pre cats on mine have failed due to a bad carburetor.

PM me if you have one available.

Thanks,

Andrew

I know 2 years ago neither I, nor the shop that was working on my car could find any Y-pipes, but an exhaust shop can cut one based on the one in your car if it's still available.

I'm happy to report that I was able to get a Walker 40430 Canadian Y-Pipe from Waldron's exhaust! Ruth at Waldron's was very helpful. She also sourced two over-axle pipes for my 72 Buick Riviera

Waldron's warehouse source still has a limited number of the Canadian Y-Pipes available. Thus, if you think that you want a Canadian Y-Pipe, I would recommend buying one before they are made of unobtainum. Special shout out to Volare 1977 for pointing me in Waldron's direction.

After unsuccessfully attempting to remove the Y-Pipe bolts with MAPP gas, I decided to take my Imperial to a local exhaust shop to have the Y-Pipe installed. Upon removal of the old Y-Pipe, I confirmed that the pre cats were melted and broken into pieces (hence the exhaust obstruction).

With the new Y-Pipe installed, my Imperial runs smoothly, has substantially more power and doesn't stall. To say that I'm happy is an understatement!

As the old saying goes never say never. Glad it worked out for you. I don`t know how they find that stuff but they do.
