Yup, you're correct.....torque car, all done by 5000-5500. Not sure I'll embarrass the current OEM's but at least I can give them a run for their $$ and make them wonder "What the heck is a Mirada??" 1996 and newer weighted flexplate...check. I'll see if either of the engines comes with....one...
Thanks. Not knowing at the time that the 4228 is the same, I found a single 4227 NOS aftermarket on ebay and ordered it. Hopefully USPS doesn't get delayed again. Anybody know if you can still get manual window regulator parts?? The passenger side is missing teeth on the top of...
Thanks to this thread, I was able to make sense of the box of wiper junk that came with my car and get mine fixed. Need to restore the arms and get blades, but the motor and transmission linkage work as designed.
My handle is P/N 4184227......looking around online, 4184228 supercedes it and looks identical. But the listings say doesn't fit my car. Should I order the 4228's anyway? I can't see ANY differences.
My driver's side exterior door handle broke. Looks like someone had previously welded it back together. Ebay has a few pricey NOS pieces. Aftermarket lists for 1982-1983 Mirada only....is there a difference? Chrysler used that same looking handle on a lot of models for many years..... Any help...
We will see. The more I see those Edelbrock covers, the more I like them :D
Anyone have any videos of their mild Magnum swaps? Would love to see some running and doing their thing.
Bud, I love your sense of humor. "Big swear(ing) knife to spread the butter around."
The suggestion is a good one...I was thinking about replacing the giant rubber donuts on the K-frame to body mounting areas anyway. My buddy has some million foot tall jack stands we can put the car on that...
I called Hughes Engines yesterday and they said I was right on the money with a stock shortblock. They advised to check the actual CR though, as they can be as low as 8.2:1 even though they're rated at 9:1. He gave me part numbers for pistons and their smallest torque cam which is basically a...
Well....I have my little 318 running good, and have been driving the car a lot. Meanwhile, one of my friends is spending my money quickly. I have two 360 Magnum truck engines coming to me for dirt cheap. One is a 96, the other a 2001. I also have a new in box set of Hooker headers that fit my...
I use Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil. I called Comp Cams when I got my Mirada and explained to them "Old, 83k original 318. Sat from '89 to '17. Need zinc?" YES. They referred me to Joe Gibbs, which recommended HR5 "hot rod" oil in a 10W-40. Mineral based and low detergent so the zinc can cling to...
Following....need info to head to the junkyard this weekend. What year Cherokee axles have the 27 spline carriers? My yard has a 94 Cherokee, with 3.55. Going this weekend to see if its an LSD and take the internals to put into my 1980 8.25.
