It smoothed out the idle even better than the Street Demon. It idles @725rpm. Took it out Sunday and the throttle response was excellent. On par or better than the SD. Test drive went smooth, no hesitations, surging or what have you.

I recently purchased a SD. How did you like it? Why did you get rid of it? Also, where did you get that throttle/kickdown bracket? Brand and part number would be nice..The one offered by demon is cheap looking, IMO. Your Mirada sounds good with the TBI...

Nothing wrong with the SD. I liked the small primaries/big secondary's. It performed well in street driving. I just wanted an aftermarket EFI on the Mirada.

Sucks when you put the gas tank filler grommet on backwards.

Running great though. I will be rigging the cruise cable back up.

What rear gear did these come with? Christ I'm cruising at 60 mph and only turning 2100 rpm at most.

I want 3.73's with a gear vendor's unit.:)

'77's came with either a 2.45, 2.94 or 3.23:1.
2.76:1 was an option on other years (but I don’t think used in ‘77)

There "should" be a tag on one of the inspection cover bolts, and another tag if it is limited slip.

My ‘86 has a 2.24:1 vs a 3.23:1 in my ‘77.
That is one huge difference to the seat of my pants feeling (or lack thereof).

I believe it has the 2.24 the way it cruises. The tag was hard to read. The tires (245/60r14) are only 25.5 inches tall. It cruises like my '77 with a 3.23 and a manual OD trans.

I know the 8.25 I have for it was from a '77 Dippy with 2.45 gears.

Working on the engine bay plumbing. Cut to length Accel 300 spark plug wires. The initial timing is set a 18 degree BDC, and I'm not running a vac advance right now. The previous vid was 10 BDC.

The cruise cable bracket fit right on top of the Bouchillon bracket with a bolt through an existing hole. It's not hooked up right now.

So do your A/C vents all have runny noses that require them to have tissues handy?:)

Added heat shield because I didn't like the Heat soak on the fuel rails on the TB.

On the last photo above,

That shiney bent bolt going through the Bouchillon bracket, is what's anchoring the cruise cable bracket. I just have to cut it off after the nut.

***USELESS VIDEO ALERT*****

Boring Sunday drive. Messing around with the gopro. The rattling might be the gopro mount.

Decided to take the Mustang out after I pulled the door panel because the power window took a dump.

Have to stop. Thought I had eight poly shackle bushings. Had only four.
