NICE parts chaser cheap slant a/c wagon FL CL not mine

I think this would be a great parts chaser. Good MPG, a/c comfort, plenty of room, and looks nice, too. http://lakecity.craigslist.org/cto/4136858537.html

fender tag code for axle ratio 1987

What am I looking for on an 87 VIN for axle codes. Pretty sure they changed year to year. I'm more familliar with 66/67 VINs and it was the number under the letter A, Different numbers meant different gears, and then if there was a number under the X it was SG IIRC.

Sludge- stopping it from getting worse

Posted on B body, but this is more of a late LA issue, so maybe you guys can help- Working on a 1987 5.2 roller- I was pulling off the front end to change a water pump, and put on a 4 bbl intake, and... There was a bunch of carbon "sheets" directly uder the intake, and a moderate ammount...

Found an 87 Dip AHB in a scrap yard what to get?

I know I've seen this list before. I know I want the steering box. What else? It has a non-lean burn 318. IIRC, there is a "162" sticker on the valve cover. My 5th Ave has a "121". What does the 162 mean? I don't have an F/M/J, but I do have a 66 B, a 73 and a 74 B, and I'm going to look...

    Plumbing and wiring 87 318

This may be sacrilege to post here, but I've transplanted a 318 from a 5th Ave into a 1966 Coronet. My plan is to give one shot to hooking up the factory lean burn, as the engine ran GREAT while it was in the FA. If that fails I have a 73 2 BBL to swap on, and if that fails, plan C is to go...

    Introducing...

Hey. I've had Mopars since I was 17, although I did have some Buicks and an Olds before that. I'm mainly a B body guy, but have had a 73 Rallye Challenger and a 73 360 powered Duster...and a 71 Torino GT 351- shaker hood bought from the original owner. I've never had an F/M/J, unless you count...

    87 5th Ave parts

A few years ago, I bought a 5th Ave for the disk brakes, the running 318, and a few other things. I'm almost ready to scrap it, but I'd rather see if anyone needs anything that's still there, before it's gone for good. I hate to see classics with good parts get crushed, even if it does pay more...
