I have a 1978 Aspen RT for sale. It’s in Apollo PA. I have had the car for a long time. I haven’t drove it since 2004. So some things need sorting out to make it road worthy again. It runs and drives but needs work. It has a 1972 340 engine with 2.02 heads and stainless valves. Older Edelbrock intake. Newer Holley double pumper. Mallory ignition. It has a 727 with a shift kit and shifter on the floor. It used to shift pretty hard when you shifted it manually but was pretty calm if you left it in drive. It has an 8 3/4 rear end with an older detroit locker and 3.91 gears. It has 41,000 miles on the car. I unhooked the fuel line and I am running the car from a jug of gas. The gas tank may be fine, but I didn’t want to chance it since it’s been sitting for so long. It started right up after sitting for 14 years. The interior is in pretty good shape. The floors are nice. Doors are nice. I have 2 new front fenders for it that I got years ago. I have a nicer front bumper for it. The problems with the car are the quarters and rockers are rusty. But I have 2 very nice full cut off quarter panels from another Aspen. Also I have 2 very nice rocker panels cut from another Aspen. So the car can be made like new again. I would like to keep it but I got too many other projects. The car is probably worth a few thousand in parts. But I would rather see someone fix it up and enjoy it. I really had fun with the car when I was a kid. It used to be really fast and sounded great. But it needs work now. I don’t have the time to weld these panels on and restore it. I would like to get $4000 for it. I could probably get that if I sold all the parts off of it. Here is a video of the car starting up. No mufflers on it.
