At scouts last year a boy needed to call his mom & the phone in the church basement was a rotary & he didn't know how to use it!

I'll bet it had one of them old round clocks with the hour/minute hand and he had a hard time telling what time it was.

Man, I would be lost without my iPhone! But yeah, I grew up with a rotory phone in the '70's. I think my dad still has it in the shed out back...

I gotta have one of those.
I've got two rotary's hooked up at my place.
One of them is a 1951 office phone from Berlin.

Hey BH,
I've actually heard stories of kids who can't read an analog clock!

Lol, thats great! I have an old hemi orange rotary phone hooked up in the garage. Can't beat a bell ringer when you need to hear the phone ringing. I showed my kids how to use it and they got a kick out of it. They also commented on how "long" it takes to dial it. Hahaha

I have a 50's themed Coke kitchen. Have a black 1951 Northern Telecom wall phone.
It's still loud even when you have the ringer turned all the way down.
Loud is LOUD.

I'm guessing in 1951 people really didn't turn the phone off.
