What's the best way to do a good degreasing and cleaning on an M body engine bay? Pressure washer and degreaser? Anything to watch out for? I'm concerned because I still have the lean burn computer for now.

I'd say pressure washer is the worst.

Tooth-, steel and brass brush, couple cans of brake cleaner and lots of rags.

Yank the air cleaner, wrap the carb, wrap the wiring harness for the computer, wrap the distributor, yank the alternator, and go to town

Pressure washer with degreaser is the quickest most thorough way but i never clean my engine unless I really need to.
Stay away from wiring harnesses too because the wrap likes to get loose with age and isn't water tight.
I'd hold off until you're doing the intake swap.

I just got my engine bay cleaned after sitting for a good year or two, pressure wash with degreaser and some soap on a brush for specific places. All I did is wrap the carb and distributor and it turned out shiny

Taken right after I first cleaned The Cherry Bomb's engine: Purple Power, a good parts brush and a power washer, before this the entire engine and everything else under the hood was covered in heavy grease...Screenshot_20240718-041401.png
