This is my first time posting to a forum so please bear with me. I bought my 1985 diplomat back in 2016 for $385 bucks. It's been on a huge journey of changes throughout the years. Originally a Florida car. And somehow it made its way to southern Michigan where we found it. A buddy of mine purchased the car in 2007 or 2008. From the original owner. Then let I sit in his pole barn till I picked it up in 2016. I threw the car together with a bunch of used parts and drove it for a few years like that. This last year I tore it all apart and and started from scratch. 360 bored 30 over with the heads redone to handle some boost in the near future. Decent sized cam. Msd 6AL-2, Msd pro billet dizzy, livewire spark plug wires, trick flow harmonic balancer, TTI shorty headers and down pipes for a E- Body, holley 750, full CVF pulleys and brackets, aluminum radiator for a E-Body, weiand stealth intake.

Starting with the transmission is a Tremec TKX short ratio with a .68 over drive, quick time sfi bellhousing, hydraulic throwout bearing and master. Clutch pedals from a F-Body and a decent sized hole in the tunnel to make it all fit.

. Local machine shop custom made a billet aluminum driveshaft to link the Tremec to the Ford 8.8 explorer axle

. All the suspension came from Firm Feel and it's lowered about 3 inches all around sitting on a set of mustang wheels. 17x9 in the front with 1 1/2 spacers. The rear is 17x10.5 with 1 1/2 spacers.

. All brakes and lines are bran new including line lock and rear adjustable proportioning valve.

Much more to come in the next few years. I already have a 392 hemi to be swapped in and a bunch of interior mods as well. If there are any questions feel free to ask. I'm sure I'm missing alot of parts that are on this car that I just can remember.

Nice ride.
It's always such a pleasure to see a garage, lighting, cement floors.... Sigh ... one day I'll have one.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think I saw the video of this thing getting the Hemi ready to put in on Youtube.
