All of the news media all over the world need to take a long hard look at what they are doing. Unbiased news reporting is extremely rare now. I don't direct this at any news outlet, media company, or country. The Canadian news outlets are no better than the US, UK, European, or Russian outlets. All have become mouthpieces for whatever politics the owners/editors subscribe to. From my journalism class, this goes against all journalism ethics that I learned. In Canada, we had the CBC (Canadian Broadcast Corporation, gov't funded) accuse a well known Toronto millionaire of being involved in a murder in the Bahamas, because his property in the Bahamas was next tp the place where the murder took place, and that eh millionaire and the murder victim had a history of legal issues. They were fully prepared to pronounce him guilty of murder, until somebody pointed out that the millionaire was in Toronto at the time. The CBC then proceeded to attack the source of the information regarding the millionaire being in Toronto during the murder. Turns out that he was at some high society ball/gala, with dozens of people having seen him there, and talked to him. CBC gets taken to court for libel, settles out of court. Point of all of this is to point out how bad the news sources have become. At one time, the least biased news source was the BBC, with the CBC just slightly more biased. Now, the CBC is no better than the National Enquirer in terms of journalistic integrity. The BBC has also gotten worse. In every case, everything that is being reported must be taken with a very large grain of salt.
