I purchased a pair of header mufflers and found that the left one doesn't fit correctly on the header flange due to a very small interference with the floor reinforcement on my Aspen RT. Considering bending the inlet pipe or possibly creating a small dent in the muffler case to solve the issue. Anyone tried either , or any other suggestions ?

muffler dent would be better. i found that if you bend the header too much you risk warping the flanges

I appreciate the input , thanks ! Was just concerned about possibly damaging the "glass pack" insert. Shouldn't take much to create the clearance needed. Thanks again !!

Alright folks. I hate to pose a problem and not follow up with a solution, so here goes ! Hedman Headers sells " Header X-Tensions that solve the interference issue with an S bend. The ones I needed , (part # 18701), are 23" long and fit perfectly. They are also available in varying lengths so check the length of your headers before committing!! Thanks again for your input and advice !
