For the past several years, I have been making and selling a series of aluminum adapter brackets that allow you to replace the old single 6"x9" or 4"x10" dash speaker in A, B, and E-bodies and trucks/Ramchargers with a pair of new 3.5" or 4" two-way speakers. I have to admit that I have no idea what speakers were used in most of the car styles here on this site.

Can some of you who know about the dash speakers clue me in? Were single mono speakers used, and if so, what years and car models? What size speakers were used, and do you have access to some of them removed from the dash so you can post photos and provide me with some basic measurements?

Finally, would there be any interest among you folks here if I would offer a bracket for these car models?

Thanks for any input,
Jerry

I pulled a 4X10 out of my 77 Aspen. I forget where I picked up my adaptor for 2 x 3.5's, but it bolted right in and sounded alot better. It\s the only way to go when you swap out a AM radio to an AM/FM radio.
