I bought ( and still have) my 79 road runner I bought new in June ‘79.
On Saturday, the guy who owned the dealership where I bought my car, called me, and said he had a car he thought I would be interested in seeing.
I drove over to his place, and in his garage was a NEW black and gold ‘79 road runner just like mine, but with A/C , showing less than 100 miles !
The car was immaculate, and he told me it had never been publicly sold since new ! He also told me he had gotten it from the former owner of a Chrysler-Plymouth dealership in Milwaukee, who had four more ‘never sold’ road runners in the same color, with various options. I took several pictures of the car. He wouldn’t tell me the name of the guy he got it from, so I was going to get a picture of the window sticker, in hopes I could figure out who it was. Then I woke up.
Best dream ever .
