Last Augustus. Were should we go to? We will see.

Total trip mileage 3975 km (2470 miles). Total fuel? Never mind... Coffee and beer? Lots of it.

First stop place, Genk Belgium. Saw on web there was a cosmos expo. Get some Belgium beer and some cheap propane, and there we go.

Navigate to Nurburgring Germany, maybe there is something to see there. While driving there I I came across quite a few tuned cars and classic cars. Oh wait, there is a oldtimer/grand prix event, get a look.

Walking between paddocks where men on various vehicles are still busy on fixing there stuff. Here and there engines started and drive to the start. While it was a very rainy day, they did drive quite fast.

After that looking for a campsite. A small and mud path to the campsite that seemed like it was not going anywhere. Fortunately we found one where several people visit the event. Met several people, enjoying drinking beer at a campfire. I went to the event next day with two French car guys.

At the end of the day it was still possible to drive your own car on the northern part of the circuit. Quickly, back to the campsite to get the car.
A few minutes before closing time I entered the circuit. It took 25 minutes for the Nordschleife to drive. It was more like a cruise, was overtaken by a work van ..

Next day we said goodbye to the rest, and we continue. Drive a lot further south towards Austria. Wonderful to see the landscape and buildings change. Ehhmmm there should be a camping here ??

Other day a number of lifts rode with me. I almost went in the same direction. So we reach Austria.

But next day still raining. So again drive forward. Weather seems better in Slovenia. Asked if I could help a guy with Opel, but has some failure of his injection resistor, so sadly couldn't help him. But he called someone for help.

Meet a couple of people. "Are you coming from America??" ;) . So with them visited some museums and castles in Ljubjana.

Spent the morning with a cup of coffee and a quick check / maintenance done with two other French guys. Funny thing was that I don't speak French very well, but they didn't speak English either (not that I speak that wel). But non-verbal communication saved and google translate succeeded quite well.
A day together visited a waterfall and in the evening, of course, drank a beer in a local karaoke bar. Fun.

[Breakfast]

After a late night we packed everything up and on. Reached Hungary. Beautiful scenery, but the roads. The brackets of the rear shock absorbers could not handle it. But just keep on driving. Fixed them at home.

Found a campsite in the middle of the city of Budapest. Walked around the center in the evening and bought a beer here and there. I also need some exercise.

Just pinned to buy some food and fuel. Let's see what the currency is, option started at 100k florijn. Refill propane fuel numbers while going so fast, wait wait not so much, 8800 florijn refill.

Leaving Hungary.

Had to go back. So crossed Slovakia and most part of Czech Republic. Campsite on of the backyard style in Prague.

Great campsite for little money. Owner parinoide with stories that I came with a large group of young people. And that my car should be broken because old. And no entering for my car, it is fine. She came back on this the next day for paying. Like what? But good douche and food!!

Quick stay in the evening in the city. What I have seen a city with beautiful old buildings and winding streets through the city.

The trip back to home across Germany. Lots of coffee and fuel and there we go. Made it home.

What a fantastic trip. I would love to take an old gal like that around Europe. I'm sure you must have gotten some looks.

It was for me a kind of dream to do it a trip with a classic. It is the way to go out and see what you come by and met people on the way.
