Another good M body down in Pittsburgh on Craigslist. From the ad:
"'85 Dodge Diplomat. 2nd owner. 99K miles. Very good running 318. Faded paint. Junk vinyl roof. Excellent interior; faded but no tears or rips. 7/24 PA inspection. A/C works well, but needs charged. Converted to R134 when new compressor & condenser were installed 10 years ago. New wheel cylinders, front brakes, and fuel tank. I only drive it a few times a year, so it's time for a new home. Text for more info. $1000 obo."

The luxury of a 5th Ave without the junky rear roof problems. These are the best buys of all time.

The fiberglass cap that extends the roofline of the 5th Aves tend to cause rain water to be held at the panel at the bottom of the window where the cap is screwed on at, as well at the top of the 1/4 panels where the vinyl top metal trim piece ends the vinyl at. These screw holes and the pins that hold on the metal trim start rusting out. The Diplomats without all of this aren't prone to rusting below the rear window nearly as much.

I run silicone across the bottom and sides of the rear window to help prevent thst.
The vinyl roof diplomats get similar rust problems once the vinyl wears out.
