Are all small block, LA, oil pans the same for the 318? How about for the 360? Like stock replacement Milodon pans. I see them for sale cheap and that gets my greedy part hoarding feelings going. But when I look them up, they don't list that they're compatible with M bodies.

Not that I would buy one for this turd engine. But I'd hoard one for later

318 (and 340) are different from 360. Also car and truck pans are different. Pretty much any pan that fits a,b,e body, fits f,m,j body.

Milodon makes some nice pans (hopefully still). I have one on my AHB and it has very nice baffling and sealing. I had it off recently to clean and re-gasket along with factory valve covers. I painted mine black.

Have Milodon on my engine. Unlike the 440 Source pan, the Milodon has laser straight rails. The 440 Source was an arc, left a 1/16" or more gap in the middle which of course, leaked oil like a seive.

Side story. Before ordering the Milodon, called Milodon and specifically ask about rail flatness of their pans. He said theirs are flat and if it isn't, to call him back and he would personally get on a plane and deliver a new one right to my house overnight. That's confidence in your product!
