It's in. You can almost see the marks on the aluminum housing to line up with the hold down bracket. Was not too difficult, but not for folks with big hands. Luckily, my 7 yr old daughter was interested in helping. I swear the new cable was the same length as the old, but it seems like it has about 6 inches too much slack. It tucks without binding so, I'll say it's done for now. The test will be in a week or 2 depending on weather. Now the dash can go back together.

Also, lost a little more than a quart of trans fluid. I have some fresh ATF ready to go in anyway.

Good job man!

Thanks Cap. The dash went back in (I'm really familiar with it now) I moved my Pep Boys gauge pod to the area to the right of the column. I left the radio out to start ripping the 8 track chassis apart to pack the modern goodies in it.

I've got hours of video to edit and one more project before spring. That would be the rear diff cover.

SUCCESS! I just did a test run and with my GPS. Friggin DEAD on accurate! WOOHOO! DAMN Straight it's a good thing.
