Did not get a total list, but we had 2 Marines from the local barracks. The grey bearded pony tailed is the famous in his own mind, everybody's favorite mullet- you know who. The co-chair host was my mustang driving nemesis. Hell of a lead foot in heels. I did get a contact sheet on a yellow tablet, but it is on my desk in work.

SO....that is yours truly and the infamous Mustang girl.

And hope the toy drive was good.

OK maybe that tire shredding was not appropriate. All that rubber is now on the new paint job

Looks like fun and for a good cause. Nice burnouts too. If you don't want such a mess I've heard putting vaseline on behind the tires help. I think they make a spray on stuff too.

I don't know who the nemesis moostang girl is but you should really get her a Mopar! LOL....

Just some background: I went head to head with blue GT stang California special, but it was with my 97 Ram SS/T. I got her off the line, but she got me in 2nd and had a full car and 1/2. So the SS/T is heavier and not much bottom end torque. The really bad part was she was in heels that day too AND that is clutch pedal too. My SS/T is an automatic. I hung my head in shame, but she can drive better than most.

My mustang girl ran out and got some more toys for the collection box on the second day. We keep the boxes going until Dec 5th. Then, we call in the Marines for EVAC. Usually, they show up with a extended van, but last year it was a 22 foot box truck. Dec 5th gives the unit an almost 20 day time duration to get the toys sorted and distributed in time for Christmas. It is a big undertaking. My thought is, I can't convince folks to make a donation- hell I can't convince folks to come out of the rain. In fact, when I suggest it, some folks will still in the rain for spite (just because I suggested coming it). The Mustang girl has much better convincing skills. Hence, I think even the tightest of tight wads out there, would give a toy, because she asks! Plus, she is planning to buy toys every couple of days. That's big heart and a deep soul fellas.

That dress probably helps too.....LOL

Hope I'm not out of line on that.

Like Captain said kudos to her, I know a little about trying to get donations, people see a long hair guy come in and it's pretty much "no" as I walked in the door.

Nope, not out of line. "Coolest girl in Phila" was how she left the other drivers saying. and I tried to get her to "upgrade " to a 2015 Hellcat. She has a masters in engineering, so she might be able to swing it. Wouldn't that be the icing on the cake.

Folks-
I couldn't find my post for this year and maybe I forgot to post this year's show. My wife says my mind is going so it probably is.

So back again; Toys for Tot's car show 2015 At the old Navy yard in Philadelphia on. It is more of a "car cruise in" since we are doing it on a Monday- Nov 9th. due to Veterans' Day on Wednesday, US Marines' Birthday on Tuesday. Weather is going to be 65 degrees F and clear skies. I'll be co hosting this with my heavy right footed partner (the one in the dress and heels). So anyone want to drop a toy and rip some tires and see some cars- Nov 9th @ 3 pm till dark. I may have to go up against my buddy's 68 camaro for the burnout contest- I've been known to lose. Hell, who does a car gathering on Monday, anyway? The crazy longhaired Moparian Barbarian - that's who.

Remember- she beat me head to head (I was in my SST Ram). So she ain't no lamb. I tried to get a rematch with her mustang against my Volare', but I screwed up and gave her a ride in the Volare' first and she was not game for that. Still one of the classiest girls with a steering wheel. And really cool to hang out with!
