Congratulations.

thanks. Tuner car folks, old schoolers, modern streeters, and the truck folks were pretty amazed at the Volare'

And I easily had the tire shred at the end. Everyone else left their manlyhood home, I guess.

Good work for us "other f-body" guys! Those other cars (not the s-10 or monster truck btw) look pretty darn nice too. If you tell anyone I complimented a Chevy,,,,,,,,I'll deny it and have your kneecaps broken, lol.

No not me. There were some $$$ and expert stuff there. If I had a second driver I'd brought out my other ride - the lowered SS/T Ram and parked it under that monster truck

Congratulations!! f$%^&* AWESOME Billy! I like the Nova BUT, your car is WAAAYYYYYYY cooler than the No go Nova.

Everybody else has a bike, import, Chevy or Ford, and one guy even had a B-body Plymouth,

but nobody is as cool as us. Especially you Billy! It is good to see you guys without snow enjoying your rides.

Good job Billy!

The nova was owned by the kid going for his eagle bad with the book collection for the library in children's hospital. He was really oogling my Volare. The kid got that nova for 700 bucks in less than what you see. He has about 2300 into and has done most of the work himself. So I can't dislike the nova as much. Roadrunninmark donated 2 milk crates worth of books for kids, but I had to truck his books over to the show, since his roadrunner sits unfinished at my place.

I'm just sorry I didn't get video of the juicy smoky burn out the Volare did when I left the show. It was an EF HUTTON TALKS of burnouts.

If you see another $700 Nova let me know. There shit is cheap & the family wants me to build them cars.

Although I know where a 73 Nova Hatch trunk non SS... My ex's father won't sell. Even though the car is going die a slow death.

I'll stick to mopars. I'd hate to endorse anything other than a Mopar. In terms of cheap builds, a 71 Ford Maverick. Car was 300 bucks. 5 lug wheels 200 straight 6 and 3 speed stick. Before you puke. The guy sourced a bent in half 94 stang GT and used the front k member, suspension, rack, 5.0 V8 and T5 trans. Here is where it ties in cool. The guy used a Dodge charger front nose from the 80s to make a Mad max car. So, the guy built the car for just under 1100 bucks. I don't have a picture, but I'd drive it.

I'm a Mopar only guy (OK, owned a Ford for a bit back in the '80's, I admit it), my dad has never owned anything but Mopar, his dad was Mopar only (first car he ever bought was a brand new 1916 Dodge). Doesn't mean I can't appreciate other brands, just never own them.

I confess I had one chebbie.
An 89 craprice I painted flat black with a roller.
Total piece of crap. I smoked the tranny racing ricers.
The only thing I DID like about it was that it was a chebbie so I didn't give a shit what happened to it.

All of my Mopars get top notch attention.
I'd probably never buy another one.
Got that piece of crap for $400 and drove it to it's grave in just over a year.

Yeah the maverick's, mustang 2's, fairmont's, all evolved into/shared so much with the Fox body which is every bit as cheap as chevy.

But Ford lost their looks after 1970, & for me, gained them back with the 2006-09 Mustang.

then there is the 302, & the 4.6 leaves much to be desired, the 351 windsor is cool but so MUCH changes in the windsor family you would need a few books to prevent screwing up. the 351 cleveland thru 400m are awesome, but parts are rare ( I heard that these heads are what inspired GM's LS designs & that the heads out flowed the stock cam that came with the motor), the 460 seems cool, & John Kaase makes hemi heads for this block that are the king of stock based big blocks {someone has a 1000 cubic inch motor }

the only desire for a nova is a 350 muncie 4 speed car for family

Nova is a 10 at 10 feet. It is a 73 with a 69 front clip. Was a 307 by the radiator panel, anyway. Now has a 327 from his father's junk pile. The carb is sloppy. The trans is a barely holding TH350. Plus it is a small open diff rear. The chrome rims, also bought / stole them from his dad for 200.

PS: the red 60 corvette is his dad's. Not to mention Grand dad is a motor head too. So, it is helpful to trade parts in the family. Dad was smart to make the kid work for the parts. I talked with his dad, the kid got fair prices from his oldman. He still needs odds and ends, but drives that Nova to school every day. I've got a similar plan for my kid's cars. My oldest is 13 and she has already eyed up a few blue cheap F body coupes. My rule: anything mopar. Her request: as long as it is blue and her sister cannot get the same car. So 1 Aspen and 1 Volare is in the future.

I hope noone thought I was giving my cars to my kids. They get to build their very own
