Its kind of hard to see looks like the throttle cable broke. Is it rubbing on something. was it old?

also that can happen if the pedal goes the the metal and there is no further throw on the linkage meaning you stepped on it and put too much pressure on the cable. it should be adjusted so that when the throttle pedal is all the way down to the floor board that is full open throttle.... I hope that makes sence I feel like crap today...This very thing happened to me.

if you can weld- i have some strategic weapons throw out cables of finely woven steel- a little longer than that length -it would work in this application permently- send me a message if interested I will send you a pic and if interested, mail it to you at mail cost

I think if you took some of the severe angles out of the linkage adjustment, and let the cable swivel hang loose, the throttle cable would last pert-near forever.

I love that linkage setup. I used to have one; it's like mechanical pornography. At one time I think Holley, Edelbrock, and Weiand all sold the same setup. I needed service parts for mine and called Edelbrock and they told me to call Enderle: "They made it for everyone--that's where we got it."
