Plan on changing the wheels and tires this year on my '79 Duster. I have 205/70/14's on it now. Plan on going to a 15x7 Cop wheels. Just wondering what tires sizes you guys are using. Stuck between using 215/70/15's front and 255/70/15's rear or 235/60/15's front and 255/60/15's rear. What do you think and what do you guys think would look better on those wheels? Also was thinking of painting the wheels body colour. Any pics would help. Thanks.

I know my situation is probably not close to useful for you, but my '80 Volare had 205/65-15s and they were completely lost inside the wheel wells. I just put a set of 215/70-15s on it and they fit great. I joked with my wife that Murphy (the wagon) got a "Just for Men" treatment. Looking like a younger man with the white letter Indy 500s. It really filled out the wheel wells.

I used the following sizes and it has worked out pretty well
Speciality Magnum Wheels front and rear 15" x 8" x 4.5" back spacing
Front 255/60/15
Rear 275/60/15
A few pictures attached.

Actually that is exactly the reason why I want the tire change, the Indy 500's with the raised white lettering is what I was planning on. That "Just for Men" treatment cracked me up, you got to show me some pictures of Murphy. Thanks

X2 Im running 215/65 15s on front and 275/60 15s on stock 15X7 rims on a Mirada.

I've seen pictures of your car many of times in Mopar Mags. Very nice set up.
I'm not running that kind of power in my 318, it is just slightly warmed over. Thanks.

Thanks for the pics. Very nice car, I've seen the thread on your build and you have done some great work. I'm kinda torn between the wide road race style like yours and the tall highway wheels being my car is my highway cruiser. Love the way your tires fill in the wheel wells. I am going with the raised white lettering for sure.

I had s et of N-50x15's on my Lebaron . Didn't touch anywhere , but the passengerside did stick out past the fenderwell lip a little .

Yeah the N50's fit nice in the back. I have a set of Mickey Thompson I's on my blue 440 Aspen. Big and sticky. I don't think my 318 could justify a tire that big LOL. Thanks

krytellan, that Murphy is one sweet ride. Thanks a lot for the pictures, your wheel/tire combo is what my car seems to be missing. I see what you mean about the "Just for Men" treatment, it sure gives it some style. Hopefully mine will have half as much class as Murphy when I'm done.

Thanks for the posts guys. Keep em coming! My Duster really needs bigger tires after seeing all these combos.
