87 Chrysler 5th Ave Taillight Gaskets

I bought a few feet of dense rubber foam stuff from EBay and cut my own gaskets, wasn’t hard to do. Worked like a charm and no leaks. May have been a closed cell foam.

Got some work ahead of me.....

Good luck with your project Roger, if you know your way around cars you should have no problem. There are some good posts from Justwondering about headliner and vinyl top replacement that might be helpful for you.

    Hub caps

Looks good, kind of like a moon style hubcap. Definitely would change the look of the car. If it was me, I would roll around on them for awhile to see if I really liked them. I'll still always be a fan of the spoked cap, nothing says "luxury" like fake spoke wheels.

    Hub caps

I am curious to know what those '49 caps would look like on an M body, it is hard to picture without seeing them on the car. The next question is black or whitewall?

    Firewall Modules

Here is a pic from an 84 manual, if yours is the same it looks like the is a electronic throttle control, the EGR time delay, and the ECU module. I don't have my book handy to give you a better definition of what exactly their functions are. On my FA, the EGR timer is gone, and the EGR valve...

FOR SALE NOS Cruise Servo 1981-1989 M Bodies

The end where the speedo cables plug into can easily be taken off and the gears and swing weights can be cleaned. The diaphragm canister is not so easy to remove, it is crimped on. If you are patient this can be pried open without damaging it. Inside is a solenoid and some contacts, everything I...

FOR SALE NOS Cruise Servo 1981-1989 M Bodies

I put an '88 servo on my '83 and it was an exact fit, I would assume yours would be the same. Not sure why the vent filter covers are different colors, my '83 was blue. There might be some internal difference but nothing that I could tell, it looked the same.

    XHD springs on Fifth Avenue

I have never tried re-arcing springs before, but I like the idea. We have a 40 ton press at the shop that should do the trick. I would really like to keep the "couch on four wheels" feeling with this car, but improve handling where I can. I don't see it heading to the Nurburgring any time...

    XHD springs on Fifth Avenue

Thanks for the reference, good to have. The main reason I was thinking E body springs was that (according to Firmfeel), you can use their leaf spring hangers made for FJM's that allow you to use the 57" E body springs. This would give me more choices and possibly lower the cost. Driveshaft...

    XHD springs on Fifth Avenue

I was wondering if anyone here has had success with E-body XHD leaf springs on an M body? My plan was Firm Feel spring hangers with the MP XHD leaf springs, using some B body shock plates I have. The ride height is the main concern, I am assuming that the E bodies had less weight over the rear...

FOR SALE Set of wire caps

I might be interested in these if they were in really great condition. As to your electric trunk release, on the Row52 website (self service yard search) there are quite a few Fifth Avenues out west and down south. There is one in Fresno and one in Fairfield right now.

God, I hope you're wrong about a long winter Aspen. I keep telling myself this is the time to work on the car and motorcycles, so I can spend more time driving and riding when it's warm. Kitcar - If you want to give that snowblower a workout, come on over to Michigan!
