For Sale- 1977 Volare Original 'old lady' /6 & 3-speed manual car has 28000 miles on the body. Just finished a complete drive train swap with all top-end parts, has 10 street miles on it to break-in the clutch and fine tune. Engine is an all forged (.040 over) 360/410 cu in. with Edelbrock...
No that's the earlier kind. The 77 and up are a short plastic collar with a spring clip. The speedo cable does not thread on, just pushes in. Let me know. Yes it's for the volare
brewer's shows a /6 bar at 8"; small block 7", hmmm been there/ done that. I'll mock up the block and bell in the car and see what the 'ol wizard can do :) The bell ball pivot on the bracket looks a little lower as well. Fabrication indeed. Thanks!
Thanks for all the info and come to find out, the Camaro spring is only 1" longer in front and 2" shorter overall. So the axle will get moved back 1" using the stock hanger and we'll make some longer rear shackles. Best of both worlds!
the camaro spring is longer by 2" in the front segment to the locating pin, thus use a 1.5" shorter bracket to put the actual axle 1/2" rearward of the stock location.
I have a time capsule 225 Cu. In. 2-bbl Slant 6 engine & 3-speed manual trans still running in the Volare like a swiss watch. Mileage is a true 28,967. The engine is super clean and complete top to bottom. Includes everything, even the radiator and hoses.
Just tuned with new plugs, filters, oil...
I'm looking at adding a fiberglass front bumper to the Volare & aluminum brackets to shed some weight. Does anyone know for sure if the Duster bumper is the same? It sure looks the same.
