    Red 81 Imperial on eBay

"Detailed and ready to retail," I'd say. I don't know this guy personally, but I do know that he often buys cars at this little twice yearly classic car auction near me. I often see them on eBay after he's given them the old fluff 'n buff. His over-exposed photos always make them look waaaaay...

    National F,M,J Day

Love it! I will gladly put both of mine on the road. It will be like 1985 all over again.

Got a J and an M, but no F right now

Just for curiosity's sake, I talked to the owner of the '79 St. Regis. Sounds like a nice car. He's owned it since 1982 when it was traded in at a garage where he worked. He used it as a daily driver for a number of years before garaging it. It's been repainted and he's added some NOS trim...

Very nice car. Love the road wheels and the turd brown paint. Looks like it's high-optioned. Wonder if it's a 318 or a 360. Amazing how well the fiberglass bumper filler panels have held up. I wants it, but I can't affords it and I ain't got no room for it. Bummer.

If the car looks half as good in person as in the pictures, that's a pretty decent price. I wonder what's hiding under the car covers behind it.

    Time To Whip It Out!

It is already time to whip it out in North Carolina ... at least for a week or so until the pollen gets too heavy. I've had both my Dippie and my Cordoba out for evening cruises this week. Tanked 'em both up with some 92 octane ethanol-free gas. Now to do a little detailing ...

    UK Mirada CMX

That's a beautiful fire engine red Mirada you've got there. Any idea when it crossed the pond?

J body Wiper arms and fuse block needed.

They were surprisingly hard to find, but I tracked down some NOS and used wiper arms for my M-body at Brad's NOS Parts http://www.bradsnosparts.com/, and also on eBay. Pretty sure the J-body wiper arms are different, but it's worth a shot. Good luck!

    Saw this for sale locally

Like 'em both. That GLHS is super sharp. Could use more than 5 psi in the tires, though.

Love the hidden headlights on the St. Regis -- sorta like a 78-79 Dodge Magnum. Oh, and I run 91 octane with advanced timing in my slant 6 too. It made a big difference.

Wouldn't you know it, I'm looking to add an R-body next. I'd love a 1979 New Yorker 5th Ave in the similar two-tone cream paint scheme like my Cordoba. I saw a really nice one on eBay this past week, but I just don't have the room for it right now. I've never had an R-body, though my uncle had...

Thanks! I love the Slant 6, too. Plenty of low-end torque, smooth and those suckers run f-o-r-e-v-e-r. Does your '78 Caravelle's Super Six have solid lifters? My '81 Cordoba has hydraulic lifters, and miss that signature ticka-ticka-ticka-ticka sound.
