Battery suggestions for F body big block swap

Both are quite safe when properly manufactured. I've had a lithium Ion in my old Police car for years. These are 12V batteries manufactured for use in vehicles. Yeah cell phones had an issue awhile back but these are not quite the same technology. General info: Is a 12V Lithium Ion Battery...

Rear Swaybar bushings and links source

Yeah, he's on the right track. I have the info at home that I can post tomorrow for nice aftermarket link and bushing with urethane bushings. I just can't remember the brand right now but one of the well know companies. I measured my stock ones and then found the HD aftermarket ones to match and...

Battery suggestions for F body big block swap

I know they are VERY pricey but I've bought two Lithium Ion 12V batteries for two different vehicles when the old battery went bad. Substantial weight savings, no acid/corrosion, longer life. Also much lower self-discharge rate which is great for cars not daily drivers! I know there are some...

    Anyone have siren controller installed?

Wondering if anyone has a siren controller (and siren) in their AHB. I'd like to install one in my '89 Diplomat and would appreciate any info on which box you're using, and how it's wired up. I want one for shows, etc.

I also use an additive that is both a stabilizer and ethanol treatment. Aces IV from bndautomotive So strange to see posts from Dr. LeBaron in these old posts. He's missed :(

The trouble with the FF Torsion bars...

Hey while we are on the topic, fyi there is a difference in the pivot bushing link on AHB vs. Civi. Here's a pic of them side by side. Beefier one is AHB

The trouble with the FF Torsion bars...

I'm going to have to look at mine. I have the bigger bars from FF and all bushings from them including pivot bushings. I'm due to get it in the air for an oil change so soon. This is a pic I took after installation but I wasn't concentrating on this particular bushing but I think it looks okay...

    Project Bulldog. (1988 Diplomat AHB)

I don't see a headlight flasher module where I usually see them mounted (rad support in front of battery) but maybe it had one. Wondering if some of your wires went to that.

    360 Oil Filters ?

The remote filter is the way to go long term. So much easier for oil changes. No mess, easy to get to, and you can mount it somewhere away from the heat of the header and so that you can run a larger filter. I moved mine up front to the rad support. Braided steel lines and AN fittings and it's...

1988 Chrysler 5th all original Surging Help Please

I agree that check for vacuum leaks and other easy checks before replacing computer. Has it sat for long periods? With that low mileage, I'd wonder about bad fuel also. BUT my money is with a failing computer. That '89 FSM posted for you is good advice. Good luck.

Need Steering parts for 1983 Diplomat Police car

Many of us here have lots of FirmFeel parts on our cars and love them. If you don't mind spending on the car get their stuff. As Dariusz wrote, larger Tie Rods, larger front anti-sway bar, and the existence of a rear anti-sway bar that you can find bushings for. I think we're super fortunate to...
