I think it was part way though the model year, both my '87s were built July of '87 so were also Kenosha built cars (built very late in the model year) Neither of them had any of those dots your's has, and both of them had also faded paint so it would've shown

How well do the rear door panels fit? I know the doors on '70s have a different shape then the '80s

My '82 had those, I used a small grinder to make a straight line, then unscrewed them with a flathead

I went to have mine rebuilt afew years ago at a differential shop, and they found out there were no parts available for it....

I never recovered mine, I found an '80 Diplomat at a U-Pull it yard with the same color headliner in great shape. I can tell you taking it out and putting it back takes patience: not alot of room to get it in and out, recline your seats all the way back, if I remember correctly front passenger...

My '85 had a BAD stalling issue, it turned out to be the carburetor needed to be rebuilt and then retuned multiple times, because these are very complex carbs because they're built to run with the computer (guy who rebuilt it said it's the one of the worst carburetors ever put in an American car)

I remember when I had my leaf springs replaced sometime in 2014 that they had to have a nearby spring shop make new U-bolts, the only other thing I can remember was that some replacement bushings weren't available anywhere but others were, so some bushings on mine are new (ok ten years old now)...
